Wanted to learn to play slide, bluegrass and blues style, forever but couldn’t see your way to spending a whole bunch for yet another guitar? Well here’s your hot opportunity, a high-quality square-neck resonator guitar at the reso-bargain price of the year. Morrell has been known for all kinds of great slide guitars for quite a while, but apparently stopped having their own name put on these acoustic resonator models many years ago. This particular one was made in Korea, and since the heyday of import stuff having come from there was the 1980s I’m going to guess that’s about its correct age. Really doesn’t matter though, it’s the real deal for a fact. Beautiful maple body, solid maple three-piece neck and the truly real deal, a genuine “spider-type” resonator cone with full bridge setup, just like the original 1930s Dobros had. Even has the two screen soundholes and three 1/2” holes below the fingerboard end, all in true “Hound-dawg” mode. And it sounds it too, big and clear and LOUD! Slotted peghead with upturned tuning machines, jes’ like Uncle Buck. It sounds great, it plays right, and it’s so handsome; what more could you want? To seal the deal and show even more when this guitar appears to have been made, there’s a VHS (!) video instruction tape “Styles of The Dobro Instruction” by Tim Harkleroad, still sealed and unopened, in its hard shell case. But wait, there’s more! Along with it comes a real Stevens Steel tone bar, the best, made in USA with a pre-Zip Code mfr.’s address on its package. C’mon now, what’s stopping you? Come and get it, the whole shebang for only $495 w/hsc
