1966 Mosrite Joe Maphis Double Sunburst, Good, Hard, $2,900.00

Sometimes you just buy a guitar because you know its going to be fun. Well, this one turned out to be all that and a pretty great player. I've had lots of Mosrites and they fit a little niche in the collector market but the doubles always seemed a little too much to handle. The six string side is pretty typical Mosrite-skinny neck and skinny frets and I expected the 12 string side to be all but unplayable. But no. It's still pretty thin but there seems to be plenty of real estate to really play it. This is no case queen either. It's spent its life in smoky bars and probably a few nights in jail too. This one is priced lower than any Mosrite double anywhere. I made a good deal so you get a good deal. What could be better?
