For your consideration a 1965 Mosrite “The Ventures” Mark I in Ink Blue! Mosrite guitars was founded by Semie Moseley in 1956. Moseley first gained traction when he showed Joe Maphis his signature 3 neck guitar! He would go on to build Maphis a signature double neck! Mosrite guitars are known for their unique design, thin neck, narrow nut width, small frets and extremely hot pickups! This Mark I model is probably their most famous model.

Specs! This guitar is all original. Nickel Kluson Deluxe tuners. Nylon nut with a width of 1-9/16″. Zero Fret. Maple neck with a depth of .86″ at the first fret and .86″ at the twelfth fret. 24.75″ scale length. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25″ radius. Action measures 5/64″ on the bass side and 4/64″ on the treble side. Original 22 small frets. Alder body finished in Ink Blue. Original two Mosrite California single coil pick ups. Original wiring with centralab pots. Mosrite Vibrato. Comes with its original hard shell case. Weighs 7 pounds and 13.5 ounces.

These guitars are something special! The thin neck, narrow nut width and small frets make for a truly unique playing experience! It is great for anyone with a light and fast touch. These pick ups don’t sound like your typical vintage guitar! Much higher output then most anything you’re gonna find from this period. Absolutely stunning body shape and finish work. Mosrite is a great part of guitar history! From country, surfer to rock and roll, Mosrite had something different and special for these early rock founders!
