Leo Fender certainly had the magic touch when it came to bass guitars. The Stingray is as big a success as any of his other instruments in that it became a signature and irreplaceable sound almost immediately. In the decades since its following has only grown.

This one is from 1982 but it certainly doesn't look its true age, and it's probably cleaner that some guitars hanging on the walls at you local super-store. The natural paint job certainly helps hide minor scratches and marks but there's not much to note there. The worst mark is the one we've photographed on the tip of the headstock. It even comes with the original hardshell case which is in equally great shape.
