ESP was established in 1975, and the models released at that time were marketed under the Navigator brand. Even today, orthodox copy models are sold under the Navigator brand, a brand that has earned a high reputation for quality and construction that is as good as the original. This model is a copy of the ES-335 with a maple body and thin mahogany neck with set neck construction similar to the original Gibson. The high quality materials used, the cost and time spent, and the high precision of the Japanese craftsmanship give this model a sense of playability that is more than sufficient to avoid frustration. It is a copy model with an established reputation for its quality of construction that threatens the original Gibson ES-335.
