Description

If you are a working musician who needs an LP-style instrument for the stage and/or studio, you have got to give serious consideration to this killer Nik Huber Krautster II.

This 2017 "Gold Top" has a one-piece "open pore" mahogany body with a bound mahogany top done in satin stain with a total guitar weight of just 7 pounds. It has a glued-in neck made of lovely flame maple, with an LP style carve and depth measurements of .88" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th. The Indian Rosewood fretboard has a 10"-14" compound radius, extra hard medium/jumbo frets and a 1.65" bone nut. The electronics include Haussel custom pickups, including a humbucker in the bridge position and a P90 in the neck position, along with master volume, master tone (with push/pull coil split) and a three-way toggle. The hardware consists of a light weight, wrap-around bridge with studs and Gotoh/Kluson tuners.

These Krautsters are awesome guitars, sort of like a modified LP Special built by German quality-fanatics. They sound, look and feel fabulous! Check out the video I've included (not this exact guitar) and the brief sound sample below (this exact guitar) for a taste. The very light finishes on these guitars just makes them feel and sound alive!

This 2017 example is in great condition with just a few light surface scuffs primarily on the pickguard and plastic cavity covers. The VOS-like finish on these has the vibe of a well-played but well-kept vintage guitar. The frets show no observable wear as shown in the photos. The guitar comes in it's original TKL case, also in excellent condition, along with the certificate and accessories.

Don't spend $4,200 or more on a new one of these when this fine 2017 example can be yours for more than a grand $ less. A real rock machine! Make it yours....
