This Novo Serus J in Desert Sand is a beautifully executed nod to Fender history, drawing inspiration from the earliest 1958 Jazzmaster prototypes. Those original pre-production models featured a similar Desert Sand finish paired with anodized aluminum guards and maple necks—an aesthetic echoed here with Novo’s modern refinement and attention to detail.
The body is made from tempered pine, finished in a lightly aged Desert Sand that captures the look and feel of a well-loved vintage guitar. The tempered maple neck and fingerboard have a lively, snappy response that pairs perfectly with the resonant body. The medium C neck profile measures .830 inches and is paired with a 9.5 to 14 inch compound radius for smooth movement across the board. Frets are medium Jescar 47095, offering a comfortable balance between vintage feel and modern playability.
This Serus J is loaded with a pair of Fralin Hum-Cancelling Alnico P-90s, which provide all the clarity and midrange growl of classic P-90s without the noise. They sit under custom gold grained aluminum covers that complete the vintage-inspired look. The guitar features a Mastery M1 bridge and NV vibrato system with Novo’s signature lightning bolt arm, offering tuning stability and smooth, expressive vibrato response.
Weighing in at 7lbs 2oz, it’s perfectly balanced whether you’re standing or seated. The guitar comes with its original Novo Deluxe padded soft case.

Returns on New items are accepted (unless noted in the description), and must occur within 4 days from when you receive the item.
