An old kotsuzumi (small tabor) from the Edo period. A gem with exquisite construction and exceptionally rich sound.

Outline
Old kotsuzumi drum. It is thought to have been made in the early to mid Edo period. Maki-e was also done in the same period. It is thought to be made in the same period as the body (original). The inside of the body is decorated with "Dan-kanna" and "Uneri" (horizontal stripes). The weight is 403 grams. The leather mouth is also thin. It comes in a box with gorgeous gold Maki-e.

Condition
Both the body and maki-e are in good condition with no noticeable damage.

Features
The weight of the body is a little light, but the tone is rich and the afterglow is lustrous.
