1999 Olympia by Tacoma EA-15SB

This absolutely mint 15 1/2 inch wide, just over 3 1/2 inch-deep, 'florentine' cut guitar weighs just 4.50 lbs. X-braced spruce top, Laminated mahogany back and sides. five-ply binding on the top, single-ply binding on the back. Elaborate 4 inch diameter sound-hole with three set of rings. Mahogany neck with a wide nut width of just under 1/34 inches, a scale length of 25 1/2 inches and a medium-thin profile. Rosewood faced headstock with "Olympia by Tacoma" inlaid in abalone. Individual 'Rotomatic' style tuners with oval metal buttons. Single-bound rosewood fretboard with 20 thin frets with abalone dot position markers and black dot side markers. Fishman-style under-bridge pickup with an output of 19.50k and Olympia by Tacoma 3 band EQ system with four black plastic slider-switches on bass side of body. Pre-compensated bone bridge saddle on specific-shaped rosewood base with with six white pins. Inside the sound-hole is the 'Olympia' label with the model number "EA-14SB" and the serial number "9090481" typed in black. This beautiful one-owner guitar - under the bed for twenty-three years is in mint (9.50) condition. Housed in the original "SKB" four-latch, shaped black hardshell case with black padded lining (9.00).

"Olympia guitars were started by Young Chang in 1991 and were acquired by Fender in 2004. They stood to be a pretty great symbol for durability, music, and class and were highly popular among guitarists. They ceased production in 2008 and Olympia guitars are not being manufactured anymore. Olympia guitars are essentially made by Tacoma Guitar company in Indonesia or other Asian origins but they are not US-made. That is why Olympia guitars were imported to the US in the past…" (#2307)
