This model uses a FAT chassis. The controls have been simplified, with the gain continuously changing from the old "core mode" at lower gain settings to "no core mode" and "collapse mode" as the gain is increased. 2-step BASS BOOST switch has also been added. Use this when you feel the bass is lacking when the gain setting is lowered, or when you want to feed a large amount of bass into the amplifier.
This is a high quality product that can also be used as an overdrive/preamp for bass.
