UGC35260. Hard to remember a singer-guitarist back in the '70s who didn't perform with an Ovation (remember Cat Stevens?). Heck, even folks like jazz legend Al Di Meola and a whole horde country pickers had 'em. The features that drove the players to Ovation guitars were a slim, yet strong neck, reduced feedback when amplified, and above all, they were practically indestructible. The back & sides were made from a composite synthetic which Ovation called "Lyrachord" that was originally developed to produce light weight helicopter blades. For performance, the Ovation Balladeer led the way to fame and prosperity (of course, it helped if you had talent too). This clean example is a bargain as compared to other guitars with similar features.
