Description

We are huge fans of Parker Guitars here at Capital Guitars. We have purchased and sold dozens of these very cool and unique guitars over the years. With their unique design elements, high tech materials and exotic electronics, there is really no other instrument quite like a Parker guitar. Unfortunately, Parkers are no longer being manufactured, so it appears that those already in circulation are all there will be.

Offered is this fabulous Tobacco Sunburst Parker Dragonfly (later changed to Maxx Fly) DF824 built in 2012. This is an early example of this model that was custom-ordered with upgraded cosmetics including gold hardware. This is a premium set neck model, in this case with an Alder body and a Basswood neck with carbon fiber reinforcement and fingerboard. This design results in a guitar of very light weight (5.4 pounds for this guitar) with high durability and incredible resonance. With it's HSS pickup layout along with coil splitting and the built-in piezo system, your tone options are almost limitless. The fabulous Ken Parker tremolo system on this guitar is legendary in it's own right.

This guitar plays almost effortlessly. It is currently setup with .09 gauge strings and the corresponding tremolo spring. The tones you can get are almost unlimited. Please check out the brief sound sample provided for just a "taste" of what this amazing guitar can do.

This early 2012 one owner beauty was custom-ordered and has been meticulously maintained. The only flaws are some very superficial clearcoat scuffs and a bit fade in the finish of the custom gold hardware. These issues can only be seen very close up under intense lighting. The stainless steel frets are flawless. Please note that the original owner signed the back of headstock. It comes in it's original premium hardshell case, also in near mint condition, along with the trem arm, the stereo cable and a few tools.

With the cessation of Parker manufacturing, those that have been made are all there will be. When it was available, this guitar sold new for approximately $4K. Get this splendid and lightly played example while you still can. Not for traditionalists perhaps, but highly recommended!
