Description

Offered here is a rare Parker Fly Mojo Four Seasons Summer Edition guitar, #17 of the 25 made. This guitar was part of a very limited run of "Season" themed Fly Mojo instruments that Parker built in 2008. The "Winter" edition had a full chrome finish. The "Fall" edition had a highly figured Olive Burl top. The "Spring" edition guitar was pearl white with gold hardware. This, from the "Summer" run, has a gorgeous figured Bubinga top. Just twenty five examples were built for each season, except that it is reported that just one of the "Winter" edition models ever left the factory because of finishing issues. Needless to say, any of the guitars from this limited Four Seasons run is higly sought after.

This "Summer" edition Mojo has a Mahogany body with a beautiful, one-piece Bubinga top. As a Mojo, the neck is also made of Mahogany with Parker's carbon-glass-epoxy reinforcement. It has a composite fretboard with stainless steel frets and a 10"-13" compound radius and a 1.68" Graphtech nut. It has, of course, Parker's remarkable flat spring vibrato. The electronics include Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups in conjunction with a Fishman 6-element piezo system.

Like all Parker Fly guitars, this instrument is incredibly light and super easy to play. The combination of humbucking pickups, coil splitting and a built in piezo system give this instrument almost limitless tone capabilities. If you can imagine a tone, it's likely your Fly can reproduce it for you. Please check out the brief sound sample included.

This incredibly rare guitar was collector-owned and is in virtually unplayed condition. I cannot find a single cosmetic or operational flaw worthy of report, but I'm calling it "near mint" to be conservative. The stainless steel frets remain flawless as well. It comes in it's original TKL hardshell case along with the certificate of authenticity and most of the original accessories.

In that Parker guitars are no longer being made, there will be few opportunities to own a limited run example like this guitar, particularly in such condition. Make this unique and collectible instrument yours now while you can. Very special indeed!
