Description

If you are a fan of Parker guitars as I am, the demise of the brand is quite depressing. Apparently, U.S. Music Corp and parent company Jam Industries have decided that there are better profit margins in some of their other product lines. Given this development, the Parker guitars already made are all there will be and don't be surprised if the prices of Parkers soar in the months and years ahead.

Offered here is a beautiful Fly Mojo Midi built in 2009. In most respects, this instrument is standard Mojo: a one-piece carved Mahogany body with poly finish; a 24-fret Mahogany neck with 25.5" string scale; a carbon composite fretboard with 10"-13" compound radius medium/jumbo stainless steel frets and a 1.675" GraphTech nut; Parker's incredible tremolo system; a carbon fiber exoskeleton; and 2 Seymour Duncan humbuckers along with a Fishman piezo system and controls to creatively combine all of the above. The Mojo Midi gives you even more sonic flexibility with the addition of a Roland GK-KIT-GT3 pickup along with a 13-pin output circuit, which, with the addition of the appropriate converter, allows your Parker guitar to emulate almost any sound or instrument you can think of!

I love every set-neck Parker that I have ever played and this Mojo Midi is no different. The ability to combine the humbuckers (with coil splitting capability) and the piezo pickup give this guitar a sound like few other guitars and make it one of the most flexible on the market. It's ultra-light weight (6.2 pounds for this one) make it a guitar you can play for hours without fatigue. I am unfamiliar with the operation of the Roland hardware, but I have seen what a player with a bit of technical know-how can do with this amazing instrument.

Condition-wise, this instrument is in very good to excellent condition. There is one ding on the back side of the lower bout (see photo) and a bit of very hard to see pick swirling in the playing area. Otherwise this guitar is in superb shape and the stainless steel frets show zero wear. The guitar comes in a new, upgraded Parker hardshell case with the tools and other accessories shown.

This instrument originally sold for over $5K, but as noted, you can no longer buy a new one. Get this gorgeous lightly used and relatively rare example for thousands of dollars less. I can't believe these Parkers are no longer being made. Get one while you can!
