Description

Offered is this fabulous Tobacco Sunburst Parker MaxxFly DF824 built in 2013. Like their Fly models, this guitar, originally called the 'Dragon Fly', is a premium set neck model, but with a slightly more conventional body and headstock shape.

The DF824 factory specs call for an Alder body (although this one certainly looks like Ash) and a Basswood neck with carbon/epoxy reinforcement throughout for incredible resonance and durability. It has a carbon fiber fingerboard and stainless steel frets. The bridge and tremolo are Parker's unique design. The tuners are Sperzel Trim-Locks. The electronics include Seymour Duncan SSL2 single coils in the neck and middle position, a Duncn TBII humbucker in the bridge position, a Graph-Tech piezo system, coil splitting of the HB and a five-way switch. With this layout, your tone options are almost limitless. The guitar weighs just under 6 pounds.

As with other Parker guitars, this instrument is so easy to play you almost feel like you are cheating! The fabulous Ken Parker tremolo system on this guitar is legendary in it's own right. Its super light weight and great balance make it a joy to play, even for several nightly sets. It is currently setup with Elixir .10's and the appropriate trem spring.

This 2013 beauty is in near mint condition with the only flaws being a few hard to see clear coat scratches on the back. You will really have to look for them. The stainless steel frets flawless. It comes in it's original premium hardshell case along with the trem arm, tools and an alternate .09 guage trem spring.

When it was available, this guitar sold new for $4K. Get this splendid and near mint example at a great price. With Parkers no longer being manufactured, your opportunities to purchase near mint examples like this one are rapidly diminishing. Make this beauty yours while you can. A "Swiss Army knife" of a guitar that can do it all!
