Pat Wilkins resume is impressive, to say the least. Having originally worked at Schecter Guitar Research with acclaimed guitar builder Tom Anderson, Pat perfected his craft through years spent on meticulous guitar design. This experience, in tandem with his emphasis on quality and detail, afforded him the opportunity to work on instruments for players such as Mark Knopfler, Keith Richards and Pete Townshend. With an additional 10 years under his belt running a custom finish and restoration shop, his skills have brought him to the tremendous quality and craftsmanship that Wilkins Custom Guitars represents to this day.
This particular instrument is a perfect representation of the brand: a highly unique, 3D finish that pops as it plays with the light, active DiMarzio soapbar-style pickups, and a classic Alder / Maple / Rosewood combo that's sure to feel right at home in your hands. Wilkins' Jazzmaster is simply FUN, and exciting... on top of being versatile, reliable, and interactive. The electronics allow for a fully customizable array of tones -- go from rich PAF warmth to a Tele-esque spank with the flick of a switch and a tweak of the thumbwheel. We are HUGE fans of all the sounds this guitar is capable of! It's sure to please vintage tone-chasers and modern payers alike.
