Description

PRS has built some awesome limited run semi-hollow models in recent years. Offered her is a very special take off on one of their 'Core' models, a Custom 22 Semi-Hollow Wood Library with "10 Top", tremelo and Brazilian Rosewood fretboard.

Starting with their 22-fret, 25" string scale Custom 22 PRS gives this guitar a very light weight and slightly more airy tone by making it a semi-hollow instrument. They then add their generation III tremolo bridge, two 58/15LT humbucker pickups, a fabulous Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and Wood Library grade flame top and cosmetics, Faded Blue Jean finish and upgraded case. The resulting guitar is a masterpiece and one you will not often see.

Imagine cloning a Les Paul with a tremolo-equipped 335 and that is what this guitar feels and sounds like to me. It is super light (6 pounds, 11 ounces) and rings like a bell. Even unplugged this thing is a joy to play. The Pattern-shaped neck feels terrific with it's 1-11/16" nut width, 10" radius and a depth of .875" at the first fret increasing to .970" at the tweflth fret - just right for most folks! The tone, as mentioned, is part LP and part 335 and the trem just adds additional flexibility. Please check out this sweet (clean) tone on the attached sound sample. Crank it up and it gives you all the LP-like crunch you can handle! It also has a push/pull coil split on the tone knob for single coil tones.

Built in 2018, this guitar was collector-owned and played little, if at all. It shows zero flaws of any significance, frets included. It comes in its original black paisley Wood Library case along with the trem arm and all the other paperwork and accessories.

I don't think you can buy one of these new, but if you could I suspect you would have to pay around $5K. Get this spotless 2018 example for a cool grand $ less. A spectacular semi-hollow electric from PRS!
