2006 Paul Reed Smith Hollowbody II with Piezo Natural "10" Top and Back
Offered is another example of a model we are quite fond of at Capital Guitars. It is one of the most flexible and beautiful guitar designs available, a PRS Hollowbody II with Piezo. This one comes in a beautiful 'Natural' finish and was built in 2006.
The HB II is a 22 fret, 25" scale guitar. This example has highly flamed "10" grade Maple used for both the top and back of the carved archtop body. Mahogany is used for the neck and sides and the body is bound in figured Maple. The neck carve is PRS' Wide/Fat shape (now known as their Pattern neck) and is a nice chunky C-shape. It has a dark, Rosewood fretboard with a 10" radius, a 1-11/16" nut and fancy Bird inlays. The pickups are PRS' Archtop humbuckers and the guitar has piezo elements built into the adjustable stoptail bridge. Controls include a three-way switch for the humbuckers, volume, tone, blend and a three way switch for the piezo system. Light weight PRS locking tuners keep you in tune and make string changes a breeze. This example was ordered with the gold hardware typically offered on 'Artist' models.
With it's flexible electronics, there isn't much this guitar cannot do. I've seen this guitar model used for everything from jazz to rock to solo singer/songwriter duty. Multiple inputs allow you to plug into single or dual amp sources, or directly into your PA or sound board. Please check out the brief sound sample provided. It is incredibly light and comfortable to play, weighing just 5 pounds, 10 ounces. It is completely hollow except for a very small solid piece under the bridge which connects to the top and back. It is a joy to play and is one of the most beautifully-built guitars on the planet.
This guitar remains in really nice condition with the only flaws being one tiny dimple on the back where it meets your body and a bit of light scuffing on the gold pickup covers (see close up photos). The medium/jumbo frets remain in great condition as well. It comes in it's OHSC along with the tools and the paperwork shown.
These guitars are very labor-intensive and expensive for PRS to manufacture. A new example similar to this one will now cost close to $6K. Get this beautifully-maintained 2006 example for thousands less. Make this marvelous acoustic/electric guitar yours today!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
