The body of this 2005 Paul Reed Smith McCarty Hollowbody I is made of hollowbody construction, which gives it a beautiful, expansive sound like an acoustic guitar. The body top is made of beautifully figured maple, and the sides and back of the body and neck are made of figured maple. The sides and back of the body and the neck are made of mahogany, and the sweet and firm midrange that mahogany wood produces is fully felt. In addition to the usual magnetic sound, a piezo pickup sound can be obtained for a wide range of sounds. It has a good raw sound and is also useful for casual playing in a room. This is a quality electric guitar with high playability and a beautiful sound.
