Excellent condition featuring single cutaway mahogany body, quilted maple top with Faded Gray Black Cherry Burst finish, two-tone gold and nickel plated PRS two-piece bridge and tailpiece, two 57/08 humbucking pickups with white pickup surrounds, two volume controls and two push/pull tone controls with clear speed knobs, three way pickup selector switch with black tip, mahogany PRS Vintage Pattern neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with descending bird inlays, cherry red peghead with gold Paul Reed Smith signature logo, single ply black truss rod cover with McCarty 594 print, Kluson locking tuning machines, two metal strap buttons, and PRS hard shell case. This guitar weighs 7lb 8oz.

This 2021 PRS S2 McCarty Single Cut Limited is in near mint, virtually unplayed cosmetic condition - Just squeaky clean. The neck is noted as a PRS Vintage Pattern and feels superb. This neck has a medium chunky, rounded carve with a traditional yet ergonomic feel that really makes playing this guitar comfortable and effortless. The frets on this PRS show absolutely no signs of play wear and this instrument plays exceptional up and down the fingerboard with low, smooth action and excellent intonation. The original 58/15 “S” pickups have been professionally replaced (not included) with a set of brand new PRS 57/08 humbucking pickups. This, in my opinion, is a huge upgrade to this instrument. This guitar absolutely sounds spectacular, articulate, balanced and full. These pickups excel with overdriven tones while retaining loads of clarity and character. They also clean up very well when rolling the guitar's volume off. The clean tones from this guitar are also exceptional and because of the coil taps located in each tone pot, you are able to nail some pretty incredible single coil tones as well making this instrument very versatile. The tuning machines are a professionally installed set of Kluson locking units with green keystone buttons. These fit perfectly and there were no modifications made to install them. These tuners work fantastic, ensure rock solid tuning and make string changes quick and easy. This particular 594 is a limited edition that was made with a stunning quilted maple top and finished in “Faded Grey Black Cherry Burst.” This guitar looks incredible in different light sources and has plenty of “motion” in the grain when moving the instrument. This McCarty is housed in an upgraded PRS rectangular hard shell case instead of the gig bag that these guitars originally came with. If you are looking for a ridiculously good playing and sounding PRS with a beautiful quilt top, a limited finish and top notch upgrades, then you may want to seriously consider this example.
