2021 Paul Reed Smith Special 22 Semi Hollow Korina Wood Library Charcoal
Offered for your consideration is this very cool PRS Special 22 Semi-Hollow. Built in 2021 this guitar has a Wood Library "10" grade top combined with a Korina body and neck. This guitar is finished in "Charcoal" nitro lacquer, which PRS started using in 2020.
The Special is a short scale (25") instrument based on PRS' Custom 22. It has a semi-hollow Mahogany body with a flamed maple top and a single F-hole. The "10" grade top on this instrument is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer. It has a Korina body and the neck is also Korina with PRS' "Pattern" carve which is an updated version of their former "Wide/Fat" neck shape and has a depth of .875" at the first fret. The fretboard on this guitar is made of Ebony with a 10" radius, medium fret wire and a 1-11/16" tusq nut. The Special has a PRS Gen III vibrato bridge and Phase III locking tuners. This one is further upgraded cosmetically with 'hybrid' finish hardware. Grained ivoroid tuner buttons are installed, but an additional set of gold buttons is included as well. This beauty weighs just 7 pounds, 10 ounces.
The Special is about as flexible, tone wise, that an electric guitar can be. With three pickups, including two 58/15 LT humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions and a PRS Narrowfield in the middle you have lots of options. The controls include a master volume, master tone, a five-way blade switch and mini toggles to split the neck and bridge humbuckers. This setup allows this guitar to make almost any tone you can think of, from thick humbucker crunch to Strat quack and Tele twang, along with everything in between. The guitar's semi-hollow construction adds a airy, woody voice that is marvelous and adds to the guitar's flexibility and it plays like "butta" as they say! This instrument is in near mint condition with no flaws of any significance, frets included. It comes in it's original PRS Wood Library black paisley case along with the trem arm, "Bird Tag" and all the other paperwork and accessories. Grained ivoroid tuner buttons are currently installed, but a set of gold metal buttons is included as well.

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
