ESP was established in 1975, and the models released at that time were marketed under the Navigator brand. Even today, orthodox copy models are sold under the Navigator brand, and the brand is highly regarded for its quality and construction that is as good as the original.
This early LP model is a copy of Les Paul Standard with a mahogany body and thin mahogany neck with set neck construction similar to the original Gibson. The slightly larger head and the volute on the back of the neck indicate the age of this Les Paul copy. The high quality materials used, the cost and time spent, and the high precision of the Japanese craftsmanship give this Les Paul Standard a frustration-free playability and quality sound. The Les Paul logo on the head is a charming touch!
