Description

This c2013 Peavey Delta Blues 115 serial number 003BDB0750244 is in excellent condition. Cosmetically this amp is very clean as the pictures show.

These are one of the best sounding non-boutique amps ever made. It is our main amp for demoing guitars in EVERY price range, right up to the top.

The Delta Blues features all tube construction utilizing 3 - 12AX7’s in the pre-amp and 4-EL84’s in the output section. This tube combination provides 30W into 16 or 8 ohms powering one 15" Blue Marvel speaker. Footswitch-selectable channel switching and tremolo, two channel preamp, pre and post gain controls on lead channel, normal volume control on clean channel, boost switch, 3-band passive EQ, master reverb, tremolo with speed and intensity and an effects loop.

A couple of years back we had an original 1956 Fender Pro Amp in stock. Like the Delta Blues it's a 30 watt 15" tube combo. So we did an "A-B" test to see how different the Peavey was compared to the vintage Fender icon of electric guitar history. Well to our surprise it was almost impossible to tell the difference when set at about 3-5.

Then it gets more interesting. When set higher than 5 the Fender really starts to break up and the Peavey retains a substantial amount of head room.

So how to get that nice Fender breakup? Go to the overdrive channel on the Peavey. It can be dialed in to overdrive to 1956 perfection. And it can be driven to distortions that the Pro only hints at.

So you got your channel switching, you got your "boost" switch to kick everything up a notch, you got your reverb, and last but not least you got your tremolo to die for, it goes so slow.

All for thousands less than the vintage Fender. Even Fender doesn’t make an amp like that.
Great for recording, great for gigging, just great to play through. Offered for your consideration.

***Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
***This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.
***It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
