Description

Summary: Made in the U.S. between 1978 and 1988, the Peavey T-60 was perhaps Peavey's most prominent solid-body guitar made during that era, and the first guitar the brand ever produced. Many believe the T-60 has been grievously overlooked when examining historically great guitars. Though it is heavy, like many Peavey products from this time period, players have found that the tones of these guitars are so unique that it more than makes up for the instrument's mass. This particular T-60 has a nice black finish with lots of vintage wear on the fingerboard & tons of tone.

Body: Solid body, double cutaway with a B/W/B 3-ply pickguard.

Neck: Maple neck, 21 frets, black dot inlays, 1 11/16” nut width, 25.75” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: Chrome bridge, chrome & black pickups, gold Ping tuning keys, original knobs, 3-ply B/W/B pickguard, triangle string tree, metal nut.

Cosmetics: This old Peavey has lots of natural wear all over the instrument. The back has lots of scratches & buckle rash – the top has several small dings and scratches. The pickguard has some warped places. The neck has some dings on the back but it doesn’t affect playability. The first few frets show some wear but overall the frets are in good shape & have lots of life left.

Playability: We set this Peavey up with a new set of 10’s and it plays great up & down the fingerboard. The vintage Peavey neck has aged well & it has a wonderful thin profile neck.

Modifications: The gold tuning keys are replacements.

Weight: 8 lbs, 5 oz.

Case: This vintage Peavey doesn’t come with a case but we will ship it fully packed, padded and insured!
