Offered for sale:

1996 Peavey Wolfgang serial number 91000025.

This is a 1st generation Wolfgang #25.

When production began on the original Wolfgangs Eddie insisted that the 1st 50 guitars go directly to him for inspection and set-up.

After he set up #25, he sent it to our Peavey sales rep. About a year later Paul (my Peavey rep) brought it to a concert hoping Eddie would sign it. Eddie refused but he did play it one more time back stage. After the show Paul took it home and there it sat, unplayed until now.

The inspection sheet is initialed by "ED". We even have the original shipping box. [see photos]

The Ivory finish has gotten a bit darker over the years. On the treble side of the neck pickup there is a very small area where, although hard to see, the original Ivory has not darkened.

We here at Imperial Guitar were undecided as whether to add Paul’s footnote:

“STILL WITH THE ORIGINAL STRINGS With Eddies’s sweat On them.”

We decided, “what the hell”! [we’ll change the strings and do our usual set up if you wish]

Peavey stated Eddie’s words:

"For as long as I've been playing guitar, I've always been searching for a certain feel and tone...I've experimented by tearing apart and reassembling hundreds of guitars in different ways searching for these qualities. Although I've ruined a lot of great guitars by having done this, I have learned what it takes to make a truly great guitar. The Wolfgang, after years of trial and error, (for me) is that guitar. Our collective efforts in designing the Wolfgang guitar have resulted in a versatile, quality-crafted guitar that feels great, sounds great and is truly inspiring to play. I've already put mine to the test in the studio and on tour and now it's your turn."

We here at Imperial Guitar are proud to offer this very special link to an artist that excited our ears for decades…and decades to come.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
