Project 58 was conceived by Mike Potvin and I when we first started working together many years ago. We wanted to do a boutique guitar build based on the classic design of my favorite 1958 Gibson. The feel of the neck, the sound of a great piece of wood with a great P-90!!!!
I sent Mike my guitar and he built the Project 58. The finishes on these are shot in 100% nitrocellulose laquer by Josh Grove at Protocaster Guitars who I do a great deal of work with, and who I think shoots among the most accurate and best looking realistic aged finishes!!
Lightweight and very resonant!!!! If you love a one pickup, 50's feeling guitar this one should do it!!!!
This is a hard guitar to find a safe case for to ship and carry, most leave the neck at a slight angle that can lead to breaking so these will be shipped in a high quality gig bag.
