Description

Offered here is one of my favorite guitar models and one that is among the most flexible and beautiful guitar designs available, a PRS Hollowbody II '10 Top' in Vintage Natural finish.

This beautiful, 22 fret, 25" scale guitar has "10" graded ribbon flame Maple for both the top and back (thus the "II" in the model designation). Mahogany is used for the neck and sides. The neck carve is PRS' chunky Pattern shape, formerly known as their Wide/Fat neck. The humbuckers are PRS' amazing 57/08's and the guitar has piezo elements built into the adjustable stoptail bridge. Controls include a three-way switch for the humbuckers, volume, tone, blend and a three way switch for the piezo. It is incredibly light and comfortable to play, weighing just 5 pounds, 12 ounces!

With it's combination of magnetic pickups and piezo electronics, there isn't much this guitar can't do and I've seen this guitar model used for everything from jazz to heavy metal to solo singer/songwriter duty. It is one of the easiest and most comfortable to play electrics on the market. I also think that is among the most beautifully-built and it's construction is much like that of a fine violin. The tone is superb, with a voice that is somewhere between that of a PRS solid body and a Gibson ES-335. Check out the provided sound sample of this guitar.

This instrument was built in 2013 and is in near mint condition. A bit of very light oxidation on some of the hardware is about all you will find in the way of cosmetic flaws. The frets are like new as well. It comes in it's original hardshell case, also in fine condition, along with all the original paperwork and the truss rod adjustment tool.

A new example of this magnificent instrument will cost you approximately $5,600 but you can get this near mint 2013 example for more than $2K less. Just a superb semi-hollow instrument from PRS.
