Description

Offered here is one-of-a-kind instrument, pulled from PRS' 2016 Private Stock production, that was used to test a new line of humbucking pickups that PRS was developing for Rumbleseat Music of Nashville. The guitar Paul chose to showcase this new pickup design was this incredible McCarty 594 Single Cut with Private Stock level appointments.

The McCarty 594 is named for it's unique string scale, 24.594", making the scale length of this model just under a 10th of an inch longer than the McCarty's typical 24.5". It's still a short scale, 22-fret design, but that tiny bit of added scale length generates a bit more clarity and brightness in the guitar's tone and is just one of the many little details that makes this model special and so incredibly popular.

This particular 594 is built with Private Stock quality Mahogany, Flame Maple and Brazilian Rosewood and it weighs just 8 pounds, 1 ounce. It has been given unique gold MOP inlays. It features unique humbucking pickups (with coil splitting) built just for this guitar. As with all 594's it has PRS' Pattern Vintage neck shape with depth measurements of .88" at the 1st fret and .98" at the 12th fret.

If you've played a PRS Private Stock instrument then you know what a joy this guitar is to play. Few instruments combine the sonic abilities, incredible playability and the cosmetic beauty of a high-end PRS guitar. This thing is simply amazing and the prototype pickups sound superb. Check out the provided sound sample and I think you will agree.

This one-off instrument is in near mint condition with only the slightest evidence of play. It comes in it's original Private Stock paisley case along with a letter from Paul Reed Smith to the owners of Rumbleseat Music for whom this guitar was originally built.

If a one-of-a-kind PRS 594 Singlecut at substantially below book value appeals to you, here is your chance. An amazing PRS....
