Description

This is a very rare early example of what became a turning point for any dance band by Regal & the changing attitude & significance of the Bass Player. It’s an all original “Bassoguitar” made in Chicago to be the perfect mix of an upright bass & a regular guitar that was the 1st “slap” friendly Bass. It’s construction is all mahogany w/a wonderful Sunburst finish all over w/a few top cracks tightened up in our shop by Bob Peterson. Its rosewood fingerboard has cheat lines for accurate note placement. Its split headstock design has the 1st of the modern type tuning machines that were way ahead of its time. Its got its original Bone Nut & trapeze tailpiece. Its got the extendible bottom slide-out post that creates an upright playing position easy. Its Regal logo & its original oval label are still intact & very legible. We are now having it set up & made ready to use. It’s just been acquired from a long term owner & now ready for its next caretaker. She’s certainly excellent overall & could be yours today. Pickup Only Please.
