The RD-40 Series Resophonic is the top of the Regal Studio Line. Everything from the inside out has been upgraded to meet the demands of professional musicians.The body shape is much like the Resophonic Guitars made in California in the 1930's. This RD-40 features a square Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard, Mother of Pearl position markers, and a 2" nut width. Constructed with a Spruce top, and Mahogany back, sides, ivoroid bound body, fingerboard, and peghead. The peghead also features a Rosewood overlay inlaid with an original design of Abalone and Mother of Pearl. A spun 10 1/2" aluminum cone, and Saga's patented Power Reflex resonator chamber project the tone. Completing the package is chrome hardware, Sealed die-cast tuners, a Rock Maple saddle and bone nut.
