Summary: This gorgeous and expertly crafted guitar was built by Rhode Island luthier Rick Maguire and is a rather rare and truly boutique instrument.

Body: Multi-laminate through neck construction of exotic tonewoods. Solid body double cutaway Alembic-style body shape. Gloss finish.

Neck:Multi-laminate through neck. Slim C profile. Wood-bound fretboard with diamond-shape inlays.

Electronics/Hardware: Two covered humbuckers with wood pickup rings. Adjustable bridge with stop tail. Chrome hardware. Two volume and two tone controls with wooden knobs. Three-way pickup selector. Grover tuners. Flush-mounted strap locks. Recessed input jack. Wood cover on electronics cavity has maker’s label on inside.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in beautiful shape. There are light finish scratches and a few small dings on the front and back, and two small finish chips on the head stock, one on the tip and one by the high E-string tuner. There is also some finish wear around the input jack. All the chrome is shiny and the jumbo frets show hardly any wear.

Playability: This guitar is a joy to play. The neck is slim and wide, with generous string spacing and a flat radius reminiscent of a classical fretboard, while the contoured heel provides easy access to the high frets. The action is low and slinky with no buzz or dead spots. The thin small body is light and comfortable to hold. The pickups have a vintage-voiced humbucker sound: big and warm, with plenty of midrange and definition.
