2018 Rick Turner Model 1 Deluxe Bass Natural

Let your long strange trip begin! Up for grabs a 2018 Rick Turn Model 1 Deluxe Bass! Rick Turn has been designing and building guitars for over 40 years. The model 1 was originally designed in 1979 for the guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. This body shape is extremely comfortable which makes this bass easy to play for a long time. 2018 has brought some new features to this model mainly the LED fret markers!

Specs! The 5 piece neck is constructed of maple and purpleheart with a scale length of 30.5″. The headstock is multi-ply of maple with a ebony back strap. Chrome Gotoh tuners. Bone nut measuring 1 and 9/16″. The fingerboard is ebony with 26 jumbo frets. Radius measure about 14″. The action measures 6/64 and 7/64. There are 2 colors of LEDs for the fret markers. The body is constructed of Mahogany with spalted maple top and back, bound with rosewood. The tail piece is made of brass. The bridge is made of ebony with a bone saddle. There is a piezo pick up below the bridge. There is also a single Turner “Hot Humbucker” in the neck position. Built in Dtar preamp. Controls are Volume, Magnet/Piezo pan and tone. The tone pot push/pull and functions as a coil-tap. There is also an internal trimpot to adjust gain!

Rick Turner doesn’t just have an eye for design he’s got an ear for sound! He famously helped engineer the “wall of sound” for the Grateful Dead. It comes as no surprise that this bass sounds phenomenal. Beautiful round bass notes from the humbucker while the piezo helps bring in some treble for crisp articulation. Lots of sustain! This is one fantastic playing bass. Comes with a leather levy’s gig bag. Truly an awesome bass!
