Description

Summary: This vintage Rickenbacker has an incredibly impressive sound when played acoustically and that classic sweet Rick sound when plugged in with its original “toaster” pickups. It is all original and plays beautifully all the way up and down the fretboard. It has just been inspected, set up and restrung with a new set of Ernie Ball strings and the action is low and comfortable. It ships in its original silver hard-shell case with bridge cover.

Body: MapleGlo finished semi hollow body with single sound port, maple construction and white 2-tier pickguard.

Neck: Maple/walnut/maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 24 3/4” scale length and 1.6” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: These 2 original “toaster” pickups have a fabulous jangly tone that is hardly replicated these days, they are just dynamite sounding! There are 2 volumes, 2 tones, 1 blend knob, 3 way toggle and one output jack. Original R tailpiece, bridge with 6 saddles with the D strings saddle being extra intonated.

Cosmetics: This Rick is in awesome vintage condition with no structural concerns, breaks, cracks or visible repairs. There are a few minor dents dings and scratches around the body and neck but nothing too notable. It is miraculous how great the condition is considering its age.
The neck angle is a bit shallow so the bridge is lowered almost as low as it can be and the bridge cover no longer can be fastened to the bridge with the original long attachment screws but the action is low and it plays fantastically all the way up the neck.

Playability: Our in house guitar tech has just inspected, restrung, and setup this beauty with low action and a straight neck. The frets are a little low and worn but are surprisingly playable, it’s really one of the best sounding and playing Ricks we have had the pleasure of having here at our shop.

Weight: 7 lbs, 8 oz.

Case: Ships in its original silver Rickenbacker hard-shell case with bridge cover and screws.
