Boy do we love Rick’s from the 50’s but this one has to take the cake !, its got the coolest vibe from any period Rick produced, its Prototype like features are finished in this beautiful faded factory “Autumnglo Dark Sunburst finish & is absolutely stunning & one of the earliest examples to come out of the factory, its maple construction is super grainey & figured especially its 3 piece “quilted” maple/walnut/maple neck, this example pre-dates all others still wearing its original open back Grover tuners, its got its original Gold painted clear Lucite double pickgards & matching Gold “Rickenbacker” truss rod cover, she has 2 “Toaster” type pickups & controlled by its deco type original 4 cats eye volume & tone knobs, also equipped with its original “Kaufmann” side-by-side Vibrato unit, pots date to the 41st week of 1958, this 335 model was so rare as only 30 were ever produced in 1958, undisputed to be one of Rick’s most historic guitars ever made & in Museum Quality all original condition make this so desirable, she’s excellent overall & comes with her original red lined Green’Gray hard shell case.
