Description

Summary: Few sounds are more evocative of the classic period of popular rock than the electric jangle of the Rickenbacker 12-string.

Body: Semi-hollowbody, double cutaway. This guitar has a maple body with a maple neck & a rosewood fingerboard.

Neck: Solid maple through-body neck. 24 3/4'' scale. 1.63'' nut width and a 1.931" width at the 12th fret. Lacquered rosewood fretboard with triangle inlays. Half-slot style headstock. Large white truss rod cover with “Rickenbacker” logo.

Pickups/Hardware: "High gain” pickups. Adjustable bridge with 6 string saddles, cover and trapeze tailpiece. Schaller tuning machines. Three-way pickup selector. Two volume and two tone controls, plus one pickup volume equalization control. Two-tiered white pickguard/control plate.

Cosmetics: This instrument has been well taken care of and loved in it's 27 year lifespan - there are a few dings & scuffs on this guitar, all consistent with a guitar that has been played & loved. There isn't much buckle scratch, although I do see some light scratches on the back of the instrument. The binding looks great but there are a few small cracks in the binding but nothing that is concerning and nothing structural. The top of the guitar looks perfect from a distance but once you hold this instrument in your hands you can find a few dings & imperfections but overall this Rickenbacker is in very good condition. The nut on this instrument may have been changed at sometime in the past and this instrument is strung up like a traditional 12-string with the bass strings on the bottom of the pair.

Playability: This guitar plays great - the action is super low & the guitar still plays with no dead spots & very little buzzing.

Weight: 7 lbs, 13 oz.

Case: Original hard shell Rickenbacker case
