Description

Exceptionally cool and quite rare 1959 Rickenbacker 365 Capri in Mapleglo. This example is a bit of an oddball so bear with me. The serial on this one (2V504) indicates it was built between 1958 – 1960, has two pickups, and was a vibrato model. Per Rickenbacker there is no way to date this style serial off the number alone and therefore we are focusing on the features of the instrument. This example has 2 toaster pickups, a thick 2″ double bound body, a single input, gold pickguard and truss rod cover. 365 is also written in the control cavity but as shown it does not have a vibrato tailpiece. The finish blacklights old and is nice and bright, but my opinion is the guitar was oversprayed at one point. Pro setup in house and plays great! Comes complete with a modern Rickenbacker hardshell case.
