We really ran this old Rickenbacker through its paces and it kept up admirably. We played some tried and true rock riffs, some old smokey sounding soul stuff, and some blistering punk. We ran the gamut of pickup positions. Rolled off some highs and played it fat and mellow. It just kept on pleasing. The frets are in great shape so it was a breeze to set up too so the action is dialed in nice and low. It doesn't hurt that it's a real looker either with the natural paint taking on a nice golden hue. The neck is pretty full feeling for a Rickenbacker but it's still easy to get around on. There are no breaks or repairs other than a small crack on the pickguard that was glued. There's the normal paint wear you'd expect to see on a well loved vintage instrument such as the "buckle rash" on the back and marks on the bottom from a stand. Everything on the bass is original save for one knob and everything functions well (tuners, pots, etc). 9.6 lbs.
