The Rickenbacker is characterized by its many original designs, including the body shape, pickups, bridge, pickguard, and so on. The sustain produced by the thru-neck and the tight, gurgling core sound have attracted many bassists.
The 4001 V63 is based on the 4001S used by Paul McCartney and features no binding, dot inlays, and toaster and horseshoe pickups.
This model has of course the warm bass of the front PU and the attacky sound tendency of the rear PU characteristic of Rickenbacker, but in addition, the power of the bass is impressive.
The warm sound of the fingerpicking, of course, but even if you play with the pickup, the bass is not lost and you can feel the strength of the core!
