Dead Mint Condition

"The short-lived (2004 - 2007) RKS line of guitars and basses were the most expensively-designed guitars in history. Several years in development at a cost well into seven figures, these instruments debuted to glowing reviews by professional players (Traffic’s Dave Mason was one of principals on the design team).
This bass was one of the last handmade versions they produced (RKS began producing lower-line models around 2006 as the handmade versions were quite costly), and is one of only two examples of this model ever made.
The open architecture design was just one of the RKS innovations that set these instruments apart, both visually and musically. The maple core, ebony fingerboard, and beautifully coloured translucent vermillion-gold mahogany body, coupled with it’s elegant-Jetsons shape, make for an extremely well-made and striking instrument. Originally over 3k, and with the new iterations of this design being debuted at 2019 NAMM as Master Craftsman Guitars and Basses (by the original designer, Paul Janowski) at a cost quite exceeding that, this bass is of the highest quality, exceedingly rare, and a great musical instrument.”
One of my favorite design aspects of this instrument is the location of the controls recessed right below where your picking hand is usually positioned. This allow so much easier access to the controls that can change volume or tone without interrupting your playing. Another thing you can do with this bass is remove the body wings. Then you have a tiny Steinbergeresque bass that sounds killer and is super easy to manage. This has been done by a number of players in more modern bands.
Act now! You'll be the only bassist in your town with one of these super cool and forward thinking instruments.
