The small body is made of monkeypod wood, which produces a thick sound with clear contours. The bridge and pegs are made in Germany by Schaller, and the bridge can be adjusted for fine string-to-string pitch. The pickups are also equipped with Schaller JB-6s, which produce a thicker, warmer sound with more output than a regular jazz bass. With its bolt-on construction, this bass has a fast sound rise and a powerful sound that can be used well in the modern age.
