The neck is a graceful yet chunky D shape with a 1 11/16" nut width for extreme comfort in all positions also lending itself wonderfully to those who finger pick as well as flat-pick. The threaded steel Glendale Saddles are compensated for spot on intonation and a more transparent, sparkling tone than brass.
This guitar has resided in our personal collection (in case & humidified room) as it was to good to sell and will only appreciate in value. However luckily to its new owner, at this time we've decided to part ways with it, due to having other special Ronin pieces of our own. The body is hollowed out on both sides. The guitar features Ronin's Magic Button as well as a Foil Bucker Mini bridge pickup (powder coated metal cover) and a classic Ronin Foil-Bucker in the neck position. The Magic Button is a specialized Piezo Pickup that resides inside of the bridge pickups cavity. This is the most responsive Magic Button we've ever heard in any Ronin guitar, likely due to the hollow nature and superior Acoustic-Grade Reclaimed Old Growth Redwood used on this tremendous build.
In the bridge position you can get a beautiful full Tele-like tone that sounds more like a fat single-coil than a humbucker. The tone is rich & full clean, yet the guitar becomes even more expressive when used with a dirt pedal or cranked tube amp. The volume knob with mil-spec capacitor and treble-bleed circuit cleans up extremely well when dialed back, retaining the full bandwidth and EQ range of the high-fidelity proprietary Ronin pickups. The neck Foil-Bucker is nothing short of breathtaking. It's like a rich and airy vintage Gold-Foil mixed with a PAF Humbucker. It also has a wide tonal range, with perfect note to note separation and a thick yet airy tone with tons of sonic information, incased inside its beautiful polished metal cover.
We just love the Med Relic finish on this Thinline Bettey. The bound Pinecrest Green Nitro finished top has looks to kill especially in person and the back is just gorgeous in all its natural glory. The guitar plays impeccably with a low 3 & 4 64ths action E to E at the 12th fret. Lastly you'll notice the headstock is matching Pinecrest Green and has the Ronin Guitars "Custom Build" decal, not seen on many of their instruments. Only 3 Custom Build Decals were ever used to our knowledge. Let us know if you have any further questions.
