This model is a 1988 active 5-string JazzBasstype.
Lightweight ash is used to produce a full acoustic-like sound.
Controls are 2Vol/Treble/Bass, which can be switched to passive by pulling the Bass knob.
The sound is clear and well separated, with a rich wood sound, and is well-balanced and attractive.
The pickups have been replaced with EMGs, which contribute to the clarity of the sound, and the 5-stringBassIt is very easy to handle as a 5-string.
This is an early model built when Roger Sadowski and JW Black were with the company, and their names are jointly written on the back of the head.
The body and neck are made by Tom Anderson, who made the neck and body at that time, and the individual names of the builders are now highly regarded!
