Serial # 2696. The OM is the Santa Cruz Guitar Co.’s best selling instrument, and one quick strum on this eight year old guitar proves why. The company builds guitars the way they were built in the early 1930’s – lightly and masterfully; and with just a few years in, this OM has developed a bold, open, complex, and mature voice.

Rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, ebony bridge and fingerboard. Ivoroid bindings throughout herringbone top trim and rosette, zig-zag back strip and nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Scalloped bracing, dovetailed neck joint, bone nut and compensated saddle, pearl inlays. Waverly tuning machines, ebony pins, and an L.R. Baggs Dual Source pickup system installed when the guitar was originally bought from Folkway Music in ’04.

The instrument is in very fine condition and has been well cared for. There are minor dings on the headstock edges and a few light marks on the body, but no cracks or repairs of any kind. It’s been freshly set up in our shop, too.

Expect a contemporary feeling, vintage-inspired neck with 1-3/4” nut, soft low V profile, and 25.4” scale.
