This is a lacquer-finished instrument that was plated in Japan at the time of manufacture. There is a part of plating peeling on the inside of the U-tube (see detailed pictures). All keys disassembled and cleaned inside and outside, all tampos (Selmer genuine CHANU riveted metal booster), corks and felts replaced, overhauled and adjusted.

Selmer'sThe original Serie 2, which has been used by players all over the world for many years as a standard long-selling model, is now available in satin silver finish. The only saxophones Selmer has ever produced with a satin silver finish, other than the prewar vintage model and the Mark Six, which was produced in limited quantities in the 1950s, is the Millennium model of the Serie 3. Of course, the Serie 2 satin silver has never been produced. The warm and soft sound of the satin finish with the dense resonance of the silver-plated finish is appealing.
