2014 Sierra Custom 8 String Dark Satin

DESCRIPTION
For your consideration a 2014 Sierra Custom 8-String Lap Steel! The founder Chuck Wright built his first lap steel in 1948, he then spent ’55-’60 designing and developing what would become the first Sierra lap steel! Through the decades he would continue to innovate and inspire! In 1997 Don Christensen would take the reins and continue to develop the instrument he was so gratefully to have adopted.

Specs! This instrument is all original and in very good condition. Comes with its original hard shell case and legs! Grover 4 to a side tuners. Aluminum nut with a 3-1/4″ width. Maple neck. It has a 24.25″ scale length. Aluminum fingerboard. Maple body in a dark stain. Two George L humbuckers. Volume, Tone and a three way switch. Weighs 13 pounds and 4 ounces.

Extremely cool build! These are getting hard and hard to find! The 8 string give you an extended range. The George L’s sound wonderful, sounds as classic like a classic beautiful bright and articulate lap steel recording. Awesome looks, great sound and plays like a dream!
