Summary: This Sigma is in great used condition with a nice thin V profile neck, abalone purfling, rosette and hexagon inlays. It had a fantastic Dreadnought tone with its X bracing, spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Our in-house guitar tech has just restrung this guitar with a new set of 12s and set it up with low action comfortable for flatpicking or fingerstyle.
Body: It has a one piece solid spruce top with X bracing, w/b/w binding and abalone purfling, abalone and b/w/b rosette, rosewood back and sides and single-ply tortoise pickguard.
Neck: The mahogany neck is 14 frets to the body, has a thin V profile, bound rosewood fingerboard with abalone hexagon inlays, w/b/w/b bound headstock, bone nut, 24.4” scale length and 1.675” nut width.
Pickups/Hardware: No pickup, ebonized bridge, cream bridge pins with abalone dots, upgraded bone nut and closed back gold tuning keys.
Cosmetics: This Sigma has some normal wear from use such as scratching on the pickguard and various dings on the body. There is some light scratching on the back but no major buckle rash. There are a few dings on the headstock & some light wear on the sides of the guitar but overall this instrument has held up very well and the gloss still looks great. The frets still have some life left but there is noticeable wear on the first 5 frets, especially on the treble side.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.
