Description

Circa 1955 Silvertone S-1384 'ESPANADA' hollow body electric guitar in classy/badass BLACK BEAUTY FINISH, in super clean excellent and all original condition - will ship with a good, used hardshell case. The small stamp inside the F hole is nearly impossible to read accurately, but these early pre 1957 Silvertone Espanadas all had the 'Harmometal' double binding - so this one is circa 1955/56. For an instrument that is over 60 years old, this one is in superb condition. The attractive Black finish still has all its gloss! You will find some scratches and dings - but really nothing huge - really really nice condition for her age. All parts and electronics look to be completely original - and the original 'Harmometal' binding is super cool. It's like a nice old Buick! The pickups were designed by Gibson, which is widely known, and they have some great chime and grit. Original thin frets, and the super cool Silvertone logo on the headstock is metal, like the binding. Full rounded neck carve; she is very comfortable to play. Please feel free to call for an in hand description 859-261-5500 - more photos available. Thanks.
