Offered for sale;

Used c1965 Sears Silvertone 1482 guitar combo amp.

This amp is in very good condition, fully functional. Cosmetically there are some “chips & nicks” here and there, though not easily visible in the pictures, the speaker baffle board is warped in a bit on the upper left corner.

These amps, produced by Danelectro, were introduced in the Fall/Winter 1963 Sears catalog and produced until Spring/Summer 1968.

The original sales add states;

“Tube-powered guitar amp. 15-watt music power. 80-9,000Hz. 12-in. speaker. 2-channels, 3 inputs. Front-mounted controls: volume, tone, tremolo speed, strength. Footswitch. Grey cabinet, 20x8x17 in. high. 57 P 1482L-wt. 26lbs”

Imperial Guitar states;

The 1960s Sears, Roebuck & Co. Silvertone 1482 amps are the classic garage rock amp. They became quite popular for their size, price and sound. The side mounted vertical controls allowed for those cool, tv-style cosmetics. The inputs are located on the back for Instrument or Microphone. Its tube tone is simply great. It's voiced a bit darker and seems to break up a bit earlier than a Fender Deluxe from the same era. The tone is closer to a narrow panel Tweed Deluxe.

This mamajama rips. Can be mild mannered at low settings. Get up to 3ish and 5ish and it digs in. On 10 it’s got just the right amount of O.D..

And as good as tremolo any you’ll find, at a fraction of the price.

Cool amp to collect and gig/record with. The Sears “Danos” are increasing in value as players continue to discover these amps.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
