SolidGoldFX is the first place that Jeff Waters turned to when he decided to retire his faithful distortion pedal that he had been using for decades. Alas, the Devil Driver was born. This pedal is not your typical "metal" sounding pedal. It doesn't have extremely high levels of gain, scooped mids, and over the top bass boost. Rather, it works in conjunction with your amp and acts as another gain stage. You're given two distinct, overdrive modes, a huge range EQ knob, and independent Gain and Level controls. Although it was designed to scream like demons from the abyss, you can cool it off and get nicely thick and lush overdriven tones that are in the vein of classic blues bite. It also plays well with others, adding new characteristics to your boost and overdrive pedals.
