Offered for sale;
Used c1991 Steinberger GM2S serial number N11583.
This Steinberger is in excellent condition, neck and frets are fine. There is a finish crack on the bass side cutaway. We stressed that joint and carefully inspected inside the neck pocket. It is only a finish blemish.
We have seen it many times where a thick finish can crack under far less stress than it takes to affect the wood. This is not structural. If it were a crack in the wood we would have repaired (glued) it and described the repair.
Steinberger catalog states:
“This monster feels like an old friend. The GM guitar delivers performance only a Steinberger can boast of. Offset, double cut-a-way hard maple body with Steinberger technology; these guitars are for those players who pursue the highest levels of performance. The Steinberger neck, with unequaled sensitivity of response, inspires your best. Low impedance EMGs come standard: hum-free and with full band frequency response. Subtle yearnings or blistering pyrotechnics, the Steinberger GM awaits your command.”
Cool guitar that is an important part of the history of the headless. Great addition to any collection and is so functional it could be your only axe!
Original gig bag included.
“We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship. If you decide to purchase this guitar, please let us know what gauge strings you prefer.”

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
